FIT · Building Your Photography Portfolio: A 90-Minute Intensive

Building a strong photography portfolio is about more than choosing your best images. It is about understanding what your work communicates, how the images relate to one another, and whether your portfolio reflects the kind of photographer you want to become.

In this 90-minute small-group intensive, photographer Myles Loftin will work directly with five emerging photographers to review their portfolios individually. Each participant will have dedicated time to walk through their work with Myles and receive specific feedback on image selection, sequencing, creative direction, and the overall story their portfolio tells.

Myles will also share perspective from his own career on developing a recognizable point of view, knowing what belongs in your book, and building a portfolio that can help move you toward editorial, commercial, and creative opportunities.

Because the session is limited to five participants, this will be a more hands-on format than a traditional group conversation. You should come prepared with a portfolio, website, PDF, or selection of work you would like reviewed.

You’ll leave with clearer direction on what is working, what may be missing, and concrete ideas for strengthening your portfolio.
